Ljubljana is situated in central Slovenia in the Ljubljana Basin between the Alps and the Karst. The city is located some 140 kilometers west of Zagreb, 250 kilometers east of Venice and 350 kilometers southwest of Vienna.

The extent of Ljubljana has changed considerably in the past 30 years, mainly because some of the nearby settlements have merged with Ljubljana.

There are no age restrictions with UCI Travel either, you are never too young or too old to experience the best of cycling around the world.

Are children welcome on UCI Travel packages?

Absolutely, UCI Travel packages can be tailored to suit families and young children. So long the younger ones are accompanied by an adult, we welcome children and encourage their involvement in the sport – they are our future champions!

If I’m travelling on my own, will you find me a roommate or can I have a private room?

The choice is yours. Our packages are priced as twin share, meaning that solo travellers booking on their own will be automatically matched up with another guest of the same gender who have also booked by themselves.

Alternatively, you can purchase a single supplement and have a private room to yourself.

What is a single supplement?

A single supplement is an optional add-on to your regular package which provides guests travelling on their own with a private room instead of a shared twin. This is suited to those who prefer a little extra privacy or just extra room to move around in their room.

There is an extra cost incurred when adding a single supplement. The cost differs depending on the length and type of package.

How far in advance do I need to make my booking?

UCI Travel recommends booking your package at least 90 days prior to departure. This allows us to assist you with any extra requirements well in advance of your experience beggining. These might include flights, transfers, insurance or extra accommodation nights. In addition to this, booking earlier increases you chance of securing your place on your desired package and room configuration, as many of our trips sell out close to departure.

Can I extend my trip before and after my package dates?

Yes you can. In most cases we stay in the UCI Official Hotel and we can request extra accommodation nights either before or after your package dates. These extra nights can be added to your overall invoice, making your extended stay as simple as possible. UCI Travel can also assist you with flights and transfers in and out of the event location.
