The UCI World Championship Cyclo-Cross 2012 will be held in Koksijde on the 28th and 29th of January. This fascinating coastal community is now in full cyclo mode, and it is full steam ahead for the organizers of this top sports event! Koksijde is located in the north-western part of Belgium, on the North Sea coast, a few kilometres from the border with France. The main cities close to Koksijde are Ostend, Bruges, Kortrijk and Ghent.

The Koksijde Dunes Cross offers unique environs and layout. The slopes of the dunes provide natural stands, literally and enhance the public’s engagement in the event. In this context Koksijde is pleased to introduce the X Dune! This new dune is an extra challenge for the racers and after World Championship 2012 it will be named for the future World Champion!
